Councilor Candace Pratt


Candace began her term on the City Council in 2012. She serves as the City's representative to the Clallam County Economic Development Council, the Clallam Transit System Board, and the Homeless Task Force. A graduate of Tufts University, Candace taught school before becoming a full-time mom to four sons and a daughter, volunteering in schools, church, and after-school activities. Once all the kids were in school, she started a bookkeeping service, retiring it in 1997 when she and her husband moved to Sequim. Candace has been active in the League of Women Voters for nearly 20 years, always involved with voter education, and served two terms as President. Candace has served as President of her condominium association. She is a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. She enjoys bridge, gourmet cooking, driftwood carving, qigong, travel and a good book. She adores her five grandchildren and great-granddaughter, Abby. Her nephew is a Sergeant Major in the Army, CSM Raymond F. Chandler, III.
